Amboseli National Park
Discover Amboseli National Park and Its wildlife
- We Know East Africa More than Anyone Else
Amboseli National Park is known as one of the premium safari parks in Kenya, but also the best destination for wildlife sightings, safari experiences, and a place to create memorable moments. Boosting its majestic views, Amboseli National Park blooms every morning with a Mt. Kilimanjaro View just outside your tent or lodge.
The location of Amboseli National Park makes it a huge attraction for inclusion in a Kenya safari holiday. The whole park is overlooked by the world-famous views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Kilimanjaro is undoubtedly best seen at dusk or dawn when low-hanging clouds thin out to reveal the iced summit of this continent’s highest mountain.
This backdrop has contributed to this park being amongst the most visited in Kenya, which has brought its own drawbacks. Years of tourism and off-road excursions have impacted on the park making it appear rather dusty, overused, and eroded. A program to improve access with new roads and a much tougher stance taken against off-roading are gradually remedying the situation.

So which is the best month to visit Amboseli? The best time to visit Amboseli National Park is between January and March, when you will easily see the snows of Mt. These are the best months for wildlife viewing because vegetation is thinner and animals gather around rivers and waterholes.
Amboseli National Park does offer good wildlife viewing during your safari holidays throughout the year, but during the rainy months (March, April, November, and December) some of the roads can be difficult to navigate combined with another park like the Masai Mara National Reserve.
The long dry season creates excellent opportunities to experience animals visiting the swamps and various watering holes.
